Account & Data Deletion
1nspecT is operated by MAVTech LLC. This page explains how to request deletion of your 1nspecT account and the data associated with it.
Who this applies to
This deletion process applies to anyone who has created an account in the 1nspecT mobile or web app — primarily home inspectors who subscribe to the platform, and their team members. If you are an inspection client who received a report via a shared link (without creating a 1nspecT account), the inspector who delivered your report is the data controller; please contact them directly.
How to request account deletion
Email platform@mymavtech.com from the email address associated with your 1nspecT account. Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include:
- The email address on your 1nspecT account
- Your company name (if applicable)
- Confirmation that you understand deletion is permanent
We will confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
What gets deleted
Once your deletion request is processed, we permanently remove the following:
- Your account credentials (email, password hash, authentication tokens)
- Your user profile (name, license number, signature, contact information)
- All inspection records you created — templates, inspections, deficiencies, photos, narratives, and finalized reports
- Client and realtor contact records you stored in the platform CRM
- Subscription and billing customer records (your Stripe customer record is anonymized; see retained data below)
- Any uploaded files in cloud storage (photos, PDFs, signatures)
What is retained, and why
Some information must be retained for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or platform-integrity reasons. This information is anonymized where possible and never used to re-identify you:
- Transaction records — Required by tax law and payment-network rules. Stripe retains transaction records independently for at least 7 years.
- Anonymized usage logs — Aggregated, non-identifying telemetry used to maintain platform reliability and security. Retained up to 24 months.
- Legal-hold records — If your account is subject to an active legal investigation, subpoena, or dispute resolution, deletion may be deferred until the matter is resolved. We will notify you in writing if this applies.
- Inspection reports delivered to clients — Once a finalized inspection report has been delivered to your client (e.g., the homebuyer who paid for the inspection), that delivered report is the property of the client. Texas inspection regulations require that a copy remain accessible to the client for at least 2 years from delivery, regardless of inspector account status. The copy is no longer associated with your active 1nspecT account after deletion.
Deletion timeline
- Within 2 business days — We confirm receipt of your request and verify your identity.
- Within 7 business days — Your account is disabled and access to the platform is revoked. Active subscriptions are canceled (no further billing).
- Within 30 days — All data identified above is permanently deleted from production systems.
- Within 90 days — Data is purged from operational backups in accordance with our backup retention policy.
Inspector-team members
If you are part of an inspector team and your account was created by your firm's owner or administrator, deletion of your individual user record can be requested by you directly using the email path above. However, the firm's tenant data (templates, inspections, reports) belongs to the firm, not to you individually, and will not be deleted upon an individual team member's request unless you are the firm's owner.
